World-Building Interview with Wes Britton

At the 2020 LitCon, held online in November, organizer Phoebe Darqueling moderated a panel with Wes Britton, Theresa Halvorsen, and Chris Lodwig about building worlds in science-fiction novels.

In mid-December, Phoebe Darqueling interviewed Wes for her blog, and they took a deeper dive into world-building.

Facebook Streaming Event ~ December 8, 2020

On Tuesday, December 8, 2020, Jasveena R. Prabhagaran, of International Book Promotion, interviewed Wes Britton and Karina Kantas live through Facebook.

The event, titled “Fiction Writing and World Building”, began at 9 am, Eastern Standard Time.

Wes and Karina invited viewers to submit questions through  Viewers could click here to go to Streamyard, log-in, and ask a question! Facebook then displayed the questions or comments on-screen for everyone else to see during the event.

Wes and Karina enjoyed chatting with everyone – and felt the “chat with friends” format worked very well!

LitCon Literature Convention ~ Nov. 15, 2020

On Sunday, November 15, 2020, at 10 am Eastern Standard Time, Wes Britton participated in a panel of science-fiction writers at the annual LitCon Literature Convention.

The Zoom panel took place live through the LitCon event page on Facebook.

Wes joined writers Theresa Halvorsen and Chris Lodwig, and moderator Phoebe Darqueling, for a discussion on world-building in science-fiction novels.

The LitCon Literature Convention began on Friday, November 13 at 12 midnight Eastern Standard Time, and ended at 11:59 pm on Sunday, November 15. The event was hosted by LitCon, Anita Stewart, and Phoebe Darqueling.

Wes Britton Involved in Eli Cohen Documentary

In August, 2020, Wes Britton was a significant participant in the Al Jazeera World documentary “Eli Cohen: Mossad Agent 88”.

“This is perhaps the biggest thing I’ve ever been involved with,” said Wes of the documentary, which discusses the career of Israeli spy Eli Cohen.

In 2009, Wes wrote a series of articles on Eli Cohen. These articles are available as PDF files in the “Spies in History & Literature” section of his website

Interview with Preston Fleming

In August, 2020, Wes Britton co-hosted with Karina Kantas a special episode of Karina’s YouTube series Behind the Pen, “Behind the Pen with Preston Fleming”.

During the 50-minute program, Wes and Karina talked with author Preston Fleming about his background, books, and current projects. Plus such topics as war history, the CIA, the KGB, the FBI, and conspiracy theories.

Interview with Marc Cushman

In August, 2020, Wes Britton joined Karina Kantas for an interview with author Marc Cushman on her YouTube program Behind the Pen.

Wes and Karina discussed with Marc Cushman his book series These Are the Voyages, an in-depth look at the history of the mid-1960s series Star Trek. Each book in the 3-book series examines a season of Star Trek, including a discussion of each episode, filming notes, and interviews with cast members.

Blood of Balnakin Now in Paperback

The Blood of Balnakin, the second book in the Beta-Earth Chronicles series, is now available as a paperback through the self-publishing company Lulu.
